Activities

At Becky’s Clubhouse we like to stay busy and active. Your child will be involved in many activities. We support free play where kids can play freely, explore, and learn to make choices. Structured playtime takes place throughout the day as well. We do not have a set schedule or curriculum because we get new things or add new games and ideas often. Our daily activities also depend on the number of children and ages that day as well. Because we enroll ages 0-12 we offer activities to suit those age ranges. I have a helper to help organize and get children excited about these activities.

Although all of our activities contribute to the growth and learning aspects of your child’s daily routine, we still take time out for education. Depending on your child’s age/needs we promote school readiness (preschool), school age work and help, as well as reading programs. We also help children with any learning challenges they may have and can be a part of their IEP if they have one. Each child has a different way of learning which is easier for them.

Crafts and Science

As a crafter, I enjoy sharing my hobby and teaching your children many different arts and crafts. We will work with many different materials and tools. The kids love to see their finished works of art as much as I do.

Our arts and crafts time can lead to science as well. We like to put together projects that develop over time, like planting seeds and watching them grow. We also like making our own ooey gooey projects and other materials which involves math and science. As you can see we try to make our fun activities educational as well.

Music, Drama, PE

MUSIC

We enjoy music time and we like to get up and dance and get movin while we listen. Its great exercise and the kids love it. We also incorporate instruments, tunnels, rhythm stix, etc. etc.

DRAMA

We also like to put together plays or little shows. We may use puppets and sometimes the kids are the characters. This really is fun and they get to be a part of something that they’ve created, thought of, and put together.

EXERCISE

We like to do outdoor activities including sports and other games. If we cant be outside we bring the outside in. In the summer we like to play outside (while its not too hot) and have sand play and water games as part of our activities . In the winter we will still play outside (when not too cold or wet) just to get out and get fresh air and get some exercise.
